This is the first blog post for Be Fashion Friends. As the creator and writer of this blog, I would like to provide background information about myself. My name is Tammie Johnson, and I was born in Texas and love Houston. I am a proud mother of three and have a genuine passion for writing and fashion. During college, I worked in retail. I graduated last year with a Masters in Liberal Studies from Rice University, and I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Houston, which explains my love for writing and fashion. I have worked as a Personal Trainer, Spinning Instructor, Sports Nutrition Counselor, and Mortgage Loan Officer. I love sports and enjoy going to Houston Texans and Rockets games. Some of my favorite things include skinny lattes, family, traveling, fashion shows, shopping, and shoes.
What is the purpose of this blog?
The purpose of this blog is to create an on-line community that connects fashion lovers throughout Houston with local makeup artists, fashion designers, boutique owners, photographers, and jewelry designers. This blog will also spotlight Houston fashion socialites, the Houston pageant scene, charity fashion shows, and current fashion trends. Simply explained, I would like the readers to offer comments, and have the opportunity to develop new friendships, and establish business relationships.
